Oak to stream

You just watch, and keep watching,
As an ancient oak watches a flirting stream,
And all the lively leaves or twigs it carries,
The rivulet gurgling away
Siphoning to a destination unknown,
Unconcerned.

You just watch, and keep watching
As traffic signal keeps a tab on the racing life,
And change your color with time
To think that you have actually affected
The course of a few lives that flow
Unconcerned.
